Sure Start Bus

Our bus has activities and games for your under 5's and is also there to offer support and advice to parents, grandparents and carers, with information about the local area, advice on child care, health care and sign-posting to other Children's Centre activities.

The Sure Start bus visits Hurst Green nearly every Thursday morning throughout the year. It is currently parking on the Methodist Church car park , next to Hurst Green station. The Hurst Green Clothing Store, supported by Welcare and the Methodist Church, also operates out of the Methodist church hall on Thursday mornings from 9-10.45am. The clothing store can provide children's clothing with bedding, emergency food parcels and baby equipment on request. The Football Fun follows the clothing store every week from 11-11.30am in the church hall.

The bus also visits South Godstone and Godstone on alternate Tuesday mornings-see dates below.

We regularly invite professional visitors on board our bus, including Family Information Support Staff, Raven Housing Support Workers, Dental Care Practitioners, Portage and Child-minding Support Officers. These professionals are there to offer parents and carers free advice and information.
 
Come on board for a coffee and a chance to meet some other mums and dads whilst your little ones have a play. There is no charge for coming on the bus or any of these services.

Location:  Alternate Tuesdays outside St. Stephens School in South Godstone -September 7th and continuing fortnightly and the village pond Godstone on September 14th and fortnightly thereafter.
